![]() Ricks made a couple nice plays, but I wouldn’t say he’s had a world beating camp. I don’t think any CB currently on the team deserves the CB6 spot and I’m not sure the Eagles do either. As a vested veteran Morrow is not subject to waivers.Ĥ5, I removed Zech McPhearson. I could see him finding his way back to the practice squad or roster with an IR placement. He can be cut without the slightest cap penalty. Nicholas Morrow had ZERO guaranteed money. He would be the perfect candidate to replace Shaun Bradley’s role. He placed in the 99th percentile amongst LBs for the 40 yard dash. He’s a scrappy kid with a great athletic profile. Van Summeren has gotten 1st Team reps before in practice and I think he’s exactly what the Eagles are looking for in an UDFA. I decided to go with Ben Van Summeren over Nicholas Morrow. He’s a prime candidate to make the initial 53 and be immediately placed on IR to open up a roster spot. Patrick Johnson has yet to return to practice after having a season ending injury scare. Zach Cunningham absolutely dusted him in competition. I think it was pretty apparent Myles Jack fell out of favor quickly and decided to retire on his own terms. I don’t see another DL getting on in all honesty.Ĥ0, I replaced Myles Jack with Ben Van Summeren. Marlon Tuipulotu is a good option to have as an emergency NT and the Eagles seem to value Moro Ojomo more than Kentavius Street. The OL is pretty difficult to predict in terms of the 9th man.ģ3, I’ve stuck with these 9 pretty much all off-season and I think I’ll stand by them again. For the swing guard there’s a ton of journeyman options, but I think the team goes with Sua Opeta who they’ve trusted to get playing time in each of the past three seasons. I still think the Eagles think Sills has a future as he can play all 5 positions and is under team control through 2025. I thought that guy could be Josh Sills, but it’s clear he’s feeling the effects of being out of football until a few weeks ago. With Jurgens backing up the C position the Eagles need a swing guard. Tyler Steen and Jack Driscoll have been hit and miss this entire pre-season, but I think they are the backup LT and RT respectively. I think Dan Arnold and Tyree Jackson have clearly faded from the competition.Ģ4, I added Sua Opeta to the roster. It’s just been a shame that he’s had a garbage QB2 that doesn’t let him shine. Joseph Ngata could maybe push for a spot with a great performance, but he’s running out of time.ġ5, Grant Calcaterra has shown his stuff this Pre-Season and has done a good job getting open. Covey has more upside than Greg Ward (which isn’t saying a lot) and he played decently when he’s been healthy in camp. I think the WR5 is there to exclusively return punts as they don’t want to risk injury to any of the top 4 WRs. The Eagles need to probably be really impressed to keep 5 RBs with some depth needs at other positions.ġ2, I’ve kept these guys as my 5 since camp opened. I think Trey Sermon has had his moments, but the fumble may hurt him. However, I don’t think they go that route. It makes sense because he’s a vested veteran who will not be exposed to waivers. Some have speculated Boston Scott could be cut. I think Swift and Gainwell will get a bulk of the touches with Penny being in the mix too to spell. He’s earned a guaranteed spot on the team.ħ, I removed Trey Sermon. McKee has defied my expectations that he’d be one camp and done. It may even be before the season is over. Mariota is the backup for now, but McKee is making a case to be QB2 of the future. Updated: 18:57 2023 Regular Season Opponents Dateģ, These three are locks.
